Ditch the book and use the table

Monday, December 14th, 2009

On Monday our grade decided to ditch the book and use the table, as normal we did our weekly spellingtest but our teacher Mr.k (the best teacher in the world) told us to put our book on the ground and write on the table as you could probably guess the room went quite, after a second every one said “did I just hear what I heared”. It took everyone a while to get use to it but there was a good twist for a change. When Mr.k brought out shaving cream and started spraing on everyones table and told us to go crazy and rub it in. When all the shaving cream was gorn Mr. k told us that it was a way to clean our tables fun way to clean a table you should try it next time

Austrilan Cristmas

Monday, December 7th, 2009

On Christmas Eve my family and I go round looking at the Christmas lights and decorations which is so cool, pretty and funny because the colours and blow up Santa’s are cool. At about 4 in the morning I wake my family up and we go and sit around the tree and we open some of presents and then we have pancakes after that we open the rest of presents normally I get something good.

At about 11:30 we have Christmas lunch it’s normally it consist of turkey and seafood it’s so nice.

Normally by 12 o’clock it’s hotter than 30 degrees, after lunch we normally go for a walk on the beach with our dog’s it’s a common thing to do in Australia so you bump into lots of friends.

On boxing day we normally have a bbq  with my hole family its a bit boring because i am the youngest in my family by 6 years after that our Christmas is over but it’s so fun and then its time to wait for next year

Donut Fraction’s

Thursday, November 5th, 2009

Today MR.K had us doing a maths exercise about fractions, not the best subject but it might change your mind when you throw some doughnuts in the mix it’s still as boring but allot more tasty.  We put out 3 tables out in the front of the class room and the first table had 1 doughnut, the second had 2 and the third had 3. M.K chose 10 people to go out in the coridoor and wait for your turn when he chose the person they would come down and sit at a the table that they thought they would get the most donut at. At the end there would be some people sitting down behind the tables and you would divide the doughnuts into fractions and then eat them!!!!!. In my shot I got three fifths of three doughnuts I had two fifthsof chocolate and on quarter of strawberry a vary nice way to do maths, in my mind anyway

The Concert!

Thursday, September 17th, 2009

On Thursday night my school got a chance to show ofF our performing skills. Our grade did the song “We Are The World”. We all dressed up as different countries and I dressed up as Holland. Scotland and USA had a fight with the flags, it was pretty funny.

Another act I liked was the grade sixes song “Pictures Of You”. It was cool how they made frames so it looked like a moving picture. Austin, a grade six boy, dressed up in a tutu and a small superman singlet. It was so funny!

I felt pretty good out on stage. I didnt feel nervous because I’ve done it 5 times before. Overall I thought it was pretty good!
